About our classes

Megalo provides various levels of training for beginners through to practising artists through a regular program of classes across a range of printmaking techniques. Specialised training programs can also be designed for groups or individuals upon request.

Enrolments

Enrolments can be made in person at Megalo during office hours (Tuesday to Saturday from 9.30am to 5pm) and payments can be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card. Course fees may also be paid by phone using a credit card. Full payment of the course fee is required at the time of enrolment. Book early to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately we have to cancel any classes that have not met minimum enrollment numbers by ten days prior to the scheduled start date. We encourage you to enrol early so that classes do not have to be cancelled before we hear from you! Enrolments can be made over the phone or in person at the Megalo Print Studio.

Enrolments + membership

Class participants are required to be financial members of Megalo for insurance purposes. As a result, course fees for participants who are new to Megalo include a 2009 Membership fee of $55/$33. If participants enrol in additional classes during 2009 they received the discounted, members’ rate for those course fees. As members of Megalo class participants also receive invitations to exhibitions and to participate in Megalo print projects, as well as our quarterly newsletter and free studio access on the first Saturday of each month. Cancellation of classes

All classes require a minimum number of enrolments to proceed. Participants will be notified at least one week prior to the commencement of a class if the class is to be cancelled. In the event of cancellation a full refund will be made.

Withdrawing from a class after enrolment

Withdrawals will be accepted up to 2 weeks prior to the commencement of a class. As the course fees are calculated on a miminum number of enrolments, withdrawals recieved within 2 weeks of commencementwill only receive a refund of part of the course fee (equal to the course fee less an cancellation charge of $120 to cover payment of the tutor). Withdrawals received within 7 days of the course commencement and instances of non-attendance without notifcation of withdrawal will not receive a refund.
