Visiting artist and printmaker, Tim Pauszek, will guide students through the process of plate lithography using a variety of non-toxic mediums. This workshop will serve as an introduction to lithography for beginners, or a new way of working for seasoned pros.
Adapting processes from Dwight Pogue’s “Printmaking Revolution,” students will learn how to hand grain aluminium plates for reuse, explore mark making techniques using both crayon and toner mediums, then process and print plate lithographs. Time permitting, we will also cover registration techniques for multiple plate colour lithography.
