MEGALO INTERNATIONAL PRINT PRIZE 2019
Exhibition Dates: 16 February to 6 April 2019
The inaugural Megalo International Print Prize was launched in 2018 attracting 367 works from 246 artists who came from 31 countries. The calibre of entries was exceptional leaving a difficult and long task for our panellists. 37 finalists were selected for the inaugural exhibition.
The judging panel were Dr Jane Kinsman, Head of International Art and Senior Curator of International Prints, Drawings and Illustrated Books at the National Gallery of Australia, Master printer Basil Hall of Basil Hall Editions and Ingeborg Hansen Director of Megalo.The exhibition represents works across a broad range of printmaking techniques including, woodcut, lithography, engraving, linocut, screen prints and mezzotints. The Megalo Internatioal Print Prize Awards were announced at a gala event on Friday 13 March 2019.
