Megalo workshop
reopens
Megalo's Kingston workshop has been relocated to 16 Mildura Street
Fyshwick and now forms part of the complex of artists studios 'M16'
formerly known as Leichhardt St Studios.
Workshop office hours are 9.30am - 4.30pm Wednesday - Saturday.
Free members access will continue on the first Saturday of each
month. The workshop has retained the same telephone number 62952781.
Megalo has a 'back-lot' position within the complex and is situated
in the far left hand corner of the site at the end of the third
warehouse. The new workshop is equipped to handle all requirements
for Etching and Relief Printing but regrettably access to the Lithography
equipment cannot be provided within the current configuration.
A special thanks goes out to Megalo members Christine James, Stuart
Bailey and Kirsty Rhind for their help in readying the workshop
for reopening.
Unlimited
Access Credits
Members holding unlimited access entitlements from Kingston will
have these transferred to the Mildura Street workshop. They will
also receive a one month extension on unlimited access to compensate
for the workshop down-time during the relocation. Unlimited Access
Users should note that they can have exclusive use of the workshop
Sunday - Tuesday.

Megalo web
site
Megalo has established a web site to better promote workshop services
and facilities. Applications for membership renewals and residency
programs will be available as PDF files. The site has been designed
by Stuart Bailey and we are very pleased with the result he has
achieved within the constraints of the project budget. We would
be pleased to receive your comments or suggestions for any improvements.

Saturday
Opening and Member Training
The move to Saturday opening of the Hackett workshop has proved
to be a popular initiative which will be extended to the workshop
program at Mildura Street. The extended opening at Hackett has been
coupled with the introduction of one to one and small group tuition
for members wanting to revise old skills or to expand their technical
base into a new field.
Megalo workshop staff have considerable technical expertise and
are able to provide training in areas of specific need. One to One
and small group tuition can be designed in consultation with participants
and delivered at a level affordable to them.
