Michael Winters
Recently returned from Crete, Michael has completed two new screen print editions at Megalo. The prints will be included in Michael's exhibition 'Crete Today' that will open at the Australian War Memorial in June 2005.
The print Monti Prevali is of an ancient Monastery situated on the harsh south coast of Crete. The south coast was where the British navy evacuated troops after the Battle was lost. Moni prevali gave haven to many troops who could not be evacuated from the island.
The print From Within the Fortezza-Rethymnon depicts a section of the battlements from within the very prominent ancient Venetian Fort that dominates the city of Rethymnon. Australian troops were stationed around the city and in the march to their positions would have seen this old symbol of past conflicts in Crete.
Prints measure 56x76cm printed in five colours in editions of forty five and are priced at $500 (inc. GST)

Site and Soul Print Folio
A set of limited edition prints by ten Canberra based artists that represent significant natural sites listed on the ACT Heritage Register. The folio was printed at Megalo in editions of twenty five and exhibited at the Canberra Musuem and Gallery 5 April - 18 May 2003.
All editions are printed on Reeves BFK paper (60x80cm) and are available for sale as a folio set for $3,300 (with archival box $3850) or as individual prints. Prices include GST.
