Ligature presents screenprints, lithographs, C-type and digital prints from VCA Editions.

Founded in 2015 in Naarm/Melbourne, VCA Editions has worked with a growing list of contemporary artists to produce limited edition prints, enabling these artists to experiment with new materials, processes and techniques through collaboration with expert printers. Ligature brings together the results of these collaborations, presenting works by artists:

Jumaldi Alfi, Damiano Bertoli, Jon Cattapan, Tony Curran, Mark Dustin, Tony Garifalakis, Richard Lewer, Fiona McMonagle, Stieg Persson, Yhonnie Scarce, Ugo Untoro and Zilverster (Irene Hanenbergh and Sharon Goodwin).

β€œFor invited artists the collaboration between artist and master printmaker is integral to each new project. The extensive dialogue that takes place is key and often involves discoveries for both artists and printers alike. Witnessing artists engage further with print, after their time with VCA Editions, is one of the many beneficial outcomes from these projects.”

Dr Mark Dustin,

VCA Editions Coordinator and Senior Lecturer in Drawing and Printmaking, VCA School of Art
