CLARE JACKSON

Clare is an artist, printmaker, and educator living on Ngunnawal Ngambri Country. She has been a dedicated member of the print community since she graduated from Printmedia and Drawing at ANU School of Art (Hons. 1st Class) in 2013. Her work has been featured in shows around Australia, including as a finalist in the Fremantle Print Prize and Peebles Print Prize. Clare’s awards include the Early Career Printmaker Award at Inkmasters Cairns 2018, and Highly Commended in the M16 Drawing Prize in 2015 and 2021. Clare has undertaken residencies at BigCi Wollemi National Park, The Estonian Printing Museum, The Art Vault Mildura, Vermont Studio Center USA, and Lancaster Press Fiji. Clare teaches in etching, relief printing, screen printing, and lithography, and has printed for artists such as April Phillips, Ngen’giwumirri man Kieren Karritpul, Patsy Payne, Omar Musa, and (Cultural Warning - naming a now-deceased artist) Kuku Midigi man Arone Meeks.

FRANCIS KENNA

Francis Kenna is an interdisciplianary artist living and working on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land. Francis’ spatial practice spans installation, sculpture and printmedia, robotic fabrication and light as an ongoing investigation of perception, matter and our unfolding relationship to our surroundings.  He has exhibited his work nationally through solo and group exhibitions. Francis graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours FIrst Class)/Bachelor of Arts in 2013.  In 2021 he completed a PhD in Visual Art/Art Theory from the School of Art and Design, Australian National University. Francis has presented his research through a number of conferences and publications, and currently works as a guest lecturer and tutor at the Centre for Art History and Theory, Australian National University.


BRONTE BELL

Bronte Bell is a printmaker and textile artist based on Ngunnawal Ngambri Country. She graduated from the ANU School of Art and Design in 2021. In addition to her artistic practice, Bronte works as a disability support worker, gaining valuable experience in communication, collaboration, and adaptability. She is passionate about community arts and is dedicated to making the arts accessible to all. Bronte focuses on sharing knowledge and skills to help others develop their creativity and express themselves through various mediums. In 2023, Bronte lived on Groote Eylandt, NT, where she worked with the Anindilyakwa Arts Centre for four months.


MAXIMILIAN GOSLING

Maximilian Gosling works across printmaking, illustration and ceramics. His practice explores fictional storytelling utilising idiosyncratic motifs and metaphor, focusing on music, science-fiction and folk law. Max graduated with a BVA in Fine arts from Sydney College of the Arts, and a Studio Masters in printmaking from UNSW. During his Masters Max volunteered with Cicada Press printing for artists such as Elisabeth Cummings, Euan Macleod and Fiona Hall.
Max has had his work exhibited both nationally and internationally. He has taken part in residencies from Bolivia, Mexico and Japan. Max also started an artist-run initiative in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2013, and has been a member of the Sydney Printmakers since 2018.
At Megalo, Max has collaborated with artists such as Joel Arthur, Robbie Karmel, Dean Cross, Stephen Harrison, and Jude Rae.

Elise Stanley is a printmaker and artist working on Ngunnawal and Ngambri Country. Elise’s artistic practice revolves around a nuanced exploration of her own body, probing themes of femininity, vulnerability, and autonomy. Elise graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) in Printmedia & Drawing from the Australian National University School of Art and Design in 2019. Elise has exhibited work nationally and locally, including exhibitions at M16 Artspace, Belconnen Arts Centre, Brunswick St Gallery, and ANCA. Elise is a highly accomplished screen printer, and teaches classes in fabric, paper and CMYK. Elise is currently employed at Megalo Print Studio as Acting Screen Studio Manager, and brings a passion for education, fostering creativity, and sharing her extensive expertise in printmaking with the broader Canberra community.

Alex Lundy is a Canberra based artist, who graduated with Honours in Printmedia and Drawing at the Australian National University School of Art and Design in 2017. Lundy works predominantly with screen printing and has run the screen print courses at the ANU School of Art and Design. Lundy has printed editions for artists such as Naomi Zouwer, Judith Martinez Estrada, April Phillips, Tom Buckland and emerging Tiwi artists. She has worked closely with Rock Camp! Ngunnawal Country since 2016 as the screen printing workshop leader and is currently employed as Screen Studio Manager at Megalo Print Studio



 

Greta Cooper is an emerging artist working across mediums such as drawing, Printmaking, painting, textiles and photography. Greta’s practice explores her curiosity with nature and her connection with the environment. Recently graduated from ANU School of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours), Greta has started to explore installation by using video and audio techniques. Her artworks look at environmental themes of ecological grief, memory, storytelling, and human’s impact on the environment. She also draws inspiration from her family and hometown Moruya (NSW).

Greta has recently exhibited in the 2023 Grad Show exhibition, at the ACT Legislative Assembly, and is a current stable artist at the Gallery of Small Thing’s in Watson (ACT).

 

Robbie Karmel completed his PhD at UNSW A+D and returned to Canberra in 2019 to establish his studio in Mitchell. His research and practice explore concepts of mimetic representation, phenomenological embodiment, perception, tool use, and representation through expanded drawing practices, extending into printmaking, sculptural and performative methods. Robbie began working at Megalo in 2023 and has been rediscovering etching, lithography, screenprint, and monoprint. Robbie’s practice includes the production of studio furniture, apparatus, and tools to facilitate and interrupt solo and collaborative performative drawing and making.

 

Quinton Randall (they/them) is a queer emerging artist based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri country. They have an interdisciplinary practice that spans lithography, screen printing, textiles and object making. Quinton uses the lens of liminality and thresholds to explore concepts of spirituality and queer identity, taking inspiration from traditional print languages and techniques. Quinton has completed their diploma of visual arts at the Canberra Institute of Technology. They are currently studying at the ANU School of Art and Design while working at Megalo print studio as a technical officer. Quinton has been published in Imprint Magazine and has worked alongside national and international printmakers, such as Juana Estrada Hernandez and Troppo Print studio.
