fabric printing

Monday, 12th January

In this hands-on workshop, participants will transform their artwork into patterns and bring them to life on fabric. Guided by experienced Megalo tutors, you’ll start with fast, playful drawing exercises to spark creativity and get ideas flowing.

From there, you'll develop your drawings into a pattern, which we’ll expose onto a screen using Megalo’s professional UV exposure unit. Finally, you'll print your custom design onto fabric using traditional screen printing techniques.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a unique textile print designed and printed by you!

foam relief printing

Tuesday, 13th January

Participants will explore the playful process of foam relief printing! Using scissors you’ll cut shapes from foam sheets and arrange them onto a backing to create your own unique printing block.

With support from Megalo printmakers, you’ll experiment with composition, texture, and layering to bring your design to life. Once your block is ready, you’ll roll it with ink and print onto paper using the Megalo presses.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a series of bold, graphic prints!

Print Your Own Clothing

Wednesday, 14th January

Step into the shoes of a designer and create your own custom clothing! In this workshop, artists will transform their ideas into bold, eye-catching designs. With guidance from Megalo printers, participants will develop their drawings and expose them onto a screen using the UV exposure unit. Participants will then print their designs onto their own clothing, learning skills that real designers use every day. By the end of the workshop, everyone will have their own custom garment to wear proudly!
