MULTI-PLATE ETCHING

Join artist Molly Kamenz in this weekend workshop learning the process of multi-plate etching with aquatint. This is an excellent process for creating images with different colours. Molly will take you through the process of drawing onto your copper plates, applying aquatint, etching, and printing on the Megalo presses.

About the tutor
After studying a Bachelor of Natural History Illustration, Molly Kamenz became interested in illustrating the micro and misshapen elements of the natural world. She finds solace in noticing how nature mirrors stages of her life. Her etchings and watercolour paintings explore fertility, dormancy and decay in nature, with a focus on botanical subjects.

Materials: All materials included.
Suitability: Some prior etching knowledge preferable. This class is also an excellent follow up to our Intro to Print, Etching, or Aquatint Workshops.
