Join Naarm-based artist Ashley Ronning from Helio Press for a fun and friendly risograph print workshop. Risograph began in Japan as a humble office printer, but has become an exciting new tool for artists around the world – known for its unique aesthetic and vibrant ink colours.

Together we’ll learn the basics of risograph printing and the best way to create artwork that maximizes riso’s unique features. Each participant will create an art print using 2 riso ink colours. Suitable for beginners to riso wizards. 

Please feel free to bring along ideas, reference drawings or your favourite pen, but we’ll create our artwork together on the day. Participants will go home with 20 copies of their risograph prints.

Helio Press is the risograph print project of illustrator and zine lifer Ashley Ronning. Specialising in illustrative risograph printing and DIY publishing, Helio is dedicated to the art of imbuing paper with the stories and experiences of authors and illustrators. Capturing the fluid and abstract in the act of committing ink to the page.
